Welcome All Baptist Church is an independent fundamental Baptist church family in Hogansville, Georgia. We are a local church body that strives to follow the Lord Jesus Christ in all that we do. Our worship services focus on prayer, the singing of the hymns, and the preaching of God’s Word in an evangelistic and expository manner. We also believe and preach the doctrines of Grace, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the work of the Holy Spirit. Our greatest desire is that sinners might be saved, that the saints might be edified, and that, above all, Christ might be glorified. Our church is located only a short drive away from both Newnan and Lagrange, Georgia. We would love to have you join us this Sunday as we praise our great and glorious God. “Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21). A reminder to friends of Welcome All Baptist Church: Our mission conference begins this Sunday, in the 11:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. services, and will continue on Monday through Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. Brother Scott Silvers, missionary to the Native American Indians will be preaching in each service. You are all invited and we ask all our sister churches to please pray for these meetings. May our great God bless us all by giving His Word great success as we continue to share His Gospel of grace to this lost world!
Justification by faith in Jesus Christ is the principle article of salvation. The importance of this doctrine cannot be overstated. It is the primary article of the Christian religion; the main hinge on which our religion turns, and the principle article of the whole doctrine of salvation. The ones who are justified by grace through faith in Jesus Christ are saved; they who are not are lost. The preachers who smile a friendly grin from their pulpits, Olsteen and many others, assuring sinners that "God accepts you just the way you are" are telling a monstrous lie! Sinner, God will never accept you the way you are; the way you came into this world, with all that sinful baggage that you came here with and daily flaunt unashamedly before the eyes of the world. And yes, you are a sin-filled creature apart from Jesus Christ and the grace of God demonstrated in and by Him. Brag all you will on yourself, but God named you in His Bible "wicked and unbelieving," a constant offence to His own perfect holiness. God will not save you because you are so wonderful. HE SAVES SINNERS BECAUSE JESUS CHRIST IS SO WONDERFUL! Sinners are only accepted by God the Father in the Beloved One, Jesus Christ, Eph.1:6.
I am a very small and insignificant preacher. I do not have the ear of America, but rather just a few. However, I am compelled to blow the Gospel trumpet in the ear of anyone who will listen! As I preach to my small congregation or one on one to the sinner, I will not blow taps to help them sleep, but reveille in hopes that they will waken to new life in Jesus Christ! By the grace of God do I pledge this unto Him for His glory in this new coming year! Romans 1:14-16 - "I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."
UPDATE: Open letter to Pastor friends in our immediate area: I am planning a meeting for January 28-31, 2018 at Welcome All Baptist Church where I pastor. The purpose of this meeting is to introduce the Scott Silvers Family who are missionaries among the Native American Indians in Oklahoma. Brother Scott is an outstanding missionary with a deep burden for the people to whom God has sent him to preach the Gospel & minister His Word. He is presently working with Pastor Brandon White at the Indian Baptist Church in Smithville, OK. It is not my intention to get any pastor or church to commit themselves to monthly support for Bro Silvers, but only to introduce he & his family to my friends, and trust God to burden whom He will to help our brother raise the support that he will need. I was privileged to labor with Pastor White & Bro Silvers back in September there in Oklahoma, and was able to witness first hand the love and concern they both have for the good work that God has called them too. It would mean a lot to me personally if I could get preacher brethren & sister churches involved with this endeavor that I believe God has laid on my heart. Finally, Brother Scott is an outstanding preacher & expositor of the Scriptures. They who love God's Word will not be disappointed when you hear him. But of course, as we all know, he is nothing & can do nothing without the power of the Holy Ghost. And so, will you please pray with me that God will abundantly bless this meeting & all churches who gather with us at Welcome All Baptist Church of Hogansville. Preachers, as we stand before our congregations tomorrow to preach the Word of God, we must give them 16 ounces to the pound on truth, as my dear friend brother Frank McGuire us to say. When we tell them, Thus saith the Lord, we had better be certain that the Lord did indeed say it!
I turned on my Facebook and saw the question, "What's on your mind Tommy?" Well this is what's on my mind: Romans 1:16-19, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them." I have been expounding these Scriptures in my pulpit for the last two months. Please pray for me as I continue to declare them on tomorrow. Last Sunday evening, when I was about 23 minutes into the message, a young 12 year old boy came rushing to the altar where he cried out to God to save him. When he got up, he had the most beautiful smile on his face I think I have ever seen! Blessed peace comes to the sinner who cries out of a broken heart to the God of all grace! I sure to like it when sinners interrupt my preaching like that! Acts 10:44-45, "WHILE PETER YET SPAKE THESE WORDS, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the Word." We don't need forty verses of 'Just As I Am', we need the Holy Ghost to fall upon sinners to break them & give them faith in Jesus Christ!
Saintly Samuel Rutherford said, "When I look at my sinfulness, my salvation is to me my Savior's greatest miracle." These are my exact sentiments as well concerning my own salvation from sin!
Because of our fall in Adam, we are all natural-born sinners not NUTRAL-born sinners. We all took sides with Adam against God until conquered by grace in our Peacemaker Jesus Christ.
My salvation is accomplished by God alone, without my help. God the Father chose to save me without my help, Eph.1:4, 2Thess.2:13. God the Son died for me and imputed His perfect righteousness to me, without my help, Gal.1:4, 2Thess.2:13. God the Spirit raised me from the dead with His powerful and effectual call, without my help, Eph.2:1, 2Thess.2:13-14... I will therefore give only God the glory for saving me and take absolutely no credit to myself!
"I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart" Psalm 40:8. For anyone to call himself "Christian" yet delight in his own will rather than God's will is a contradiction. Perhaps professing believers should not greet one another with the words, "How do you FEEL?" but rather, "How do you WILL?"
